1. What this policy covers
This policy explains the cookies, local storage items, and similar technologies used by the Humantix platform, operated by Prontoo (Pty) Ltd. We are a Responsible Party under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Cookies that are not strictly necessary are switched off until you choose to turn them on. We never treat scrolling, or carrying on browsing, as consent.
2. Your choices
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — there is a Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page, and you can also open it here:
Your choice is stored for 180 days, after which we ask again. If we materially change this policy we also ask again, so that your consent always relates to the version you actually read.
3. Cookies we use
Every cookie is listed below by category, with who provides it, what it does, and how long it lasts.
Strictly necessary
Vital for core application functionality, authentication, session security, load balancing, and keeping one employer’s data separate from another’s. These cannot be switched off.

4. How we record your consent
POPIA places the burden of proving valid consent on us, so each choice you make is written to an audit record containing the categories you chose, the policy version you were shown, the time, your browser type, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. We do not store your IP address itself. The record cannot be used to identify you and exists only to evidence your choice.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you being able to sign in, because they are what keeps your session secure.
